Messages from our guests

It’s always nice when guests let us know whether they’ve enjoyed their stay. It’s even nicer when they leave comments like these:

Great cottage for our staycation
The cottage was immaculate and everything we needed was available, the wine, beer etc left for us was a nice touch and the lemon drizzle.

Relaxing birthday getaway
Very relaxing stay, cottage more than lived up to expectations. Cottage in a lovely location just a couple of minutes walk into village. Lovely touches provided by owner, homemade cake, wine and local beer on arrival. Would definitely stay again.

We spent a lovely few days at the cottage as part of our honeymoon. The cottage is beautifully decorated and clean, with a very comfy bed! It has everything you need for a relaxing and peaceful stay. Lovely welcome touches of wine and cake were much appreciated! We were blessed with lovely weather to be able to enjoy lunch in the garden while taking in the wonderful views. The location is great, with Pateley just on your doorstep for shops/restaurants etc. and some great walks nearby. Would love to come back!
A relaxing winter break

Lovely cottage with a high specification for the facilities. Well equiped and arranged kitchen, very easy to work in. Thoughtful and kind provision of items for the dog (in case we had forgotten something) spare lead, bowl and collar. Ebony enjoyed the treats left for her.
Very cosy even without lighting the fire. We had a very relaxing stay thank you.
Cosy cottage in a fabulous location!

Immaculate. Really well stocked with everything you need. Nice touch of welcomed food items and a nice bottle of wine. Great instructions once you get there. The bed was really comfortable-always a gamble with some of these cottage breaks! We had a lovely time. Thanks to Nigel for the loan of this lovely property.
Warm, welcoming and well appointed.

A relaxing winter break
This cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break away and every little detail has been taken care of from milk in the fridge on arrival, logs for the burner and all the little extra touches you need to make it a home from home stay. From the doorstep there are lots of excellent walks with Pateley a five minute walk for shopping or meals out.

Cosy cottage in an idyllic location
We can not fault our stay at 9 The Green, Bewerley. From the initial enquiry to our departure, every aspect of our stay was perfect. 9 The Green, is a very cosy and well equipped cottage that, as the address suggests, looks out on to a small green. It is a short walk into Pateley Bridge and is surrounded by an abundance of country walks. Jack, our little Lakeland Terrier was in his element! We hope to be back later in the year.

We had a wonderful stay at Bewerley Hall Cottage. So gorgeous and homely with all the amenities provided (we really loved the welcome cake and wine!) and a lovely wood stove fire! We would thoroughly recommend and would love to stay again.
Lovely cottage for a relaxing stay

Spent 3 nights in this lovely cottage. On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge, beers and home made cake, which was a lovely little touch by the owners. Communication from Nigel was excellent and he even rang me on the morning of our arrival to say the cottage was ready a few hours earlier than the 3pm check in.

The cottage is lovely. It’s dark in the kitchen and lounge, but that’s not a problem when you want to snuggle up in front of the log burner in the evening. There is a nice little room at the back of the cottage (we called it the breakfast room). It looks out on to the fields and has lots of light. We enjoyed watching the view with the patio doors open while eating breakfast. The cottage has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has a lovely big shower.

The location of the cottage is superb. It’s just a short 10 minute walk in to the main area of Pateley Bridge where there are a couple of nice real ale pubs to sit inside or out. We met some really friendly locals while out and about too.

There are plenty of proper walks you can do from Pateley Bridge that has great views of the Yorkshire Dales. There is a folder in the cottage with all the information needed for the different walks that can be done. We stopped off at Harefield Hall for a cold pint on the way back from a long walk, which has a lovely outdoor seating area.

Make sure to pay a visit to the Nidderdale Museum which is just off the high street. There are lots of rooms with hundreds of artefacts to look at it, plus it’s only a couple of quid entry fee.

I’d love to visit Pateley Bridge again and explore more of the beautiful area. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this lovely cottage to anyone.
Beautiful, cosy cottage

As cottage veterans we can endorse all the comments on the quality of this cottage. It is beautifully appointed. Add to that the delightful welcome from Denise and all the treats awaiting us, and no wonder we were set up for a good week. We know Pateley from before and the shops provide high quality food and drink, we must give a special mention to Elliots, such friendly people. The Italian restaurant Ollies is highly recommended , a real treat. The weather has been varied but you can usually get a half day walk in, one way or another. Yorkes Folly is well worth it and the views of the Dale are superb. Scar House Reservoir is a bit bleak but a good walk. We managed one buzzard, ten herons all together and swallows mobbing a bird of prey, perhaps a Peregrine Falcon. All in all a cracking holiday. Thank you again.
